Steven asks…

Is it legal to have an airsoft rifle out in public for Halloween?

Hi,I want to be a blackops sniper for Halloween, and I was thinking of carrying my airsoft sniper around (unloaded and on safety, of course), but would it be legal or would it make people feel uneasy in public?

admin answers:

Even if it is fake, you could still get in a lot of trouble.  My brother’s friend was playing with his airsoft and the police thought it was real and he got in trouble because even though it is fake, many might think it is real, which would “disrupt the peace” –> something you can get in trouble for by the police.

Nancy asks…

good clear airsoft rifle?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good clear airsoft rifles, my parents won’t let me own anything realistic for “safety purposes. I’ve already looked at the DPMS m4a1 and the crosman R34. Does anyone have any suggestions?

admin answers:

Have a look at Amazon.com. You should find something that will work for you.

DOUBLE EAGLE AK47S AIRSOFT RIFLE HELP!!!?

I got a DE AK-47S Airsoft rifle a week ago and it was working fine until… well i don’t really know what happened it just stopped working so basically this is how my short lived time with it went- DAY1. i received it in the mail then took it into my backyard to try it out and it worked great- DAY 2. i set up the iron sights then messed around with it for 10 minutes- DAY 3. i took it outside for the third time got it set up in a prone position pulled the trigger AND… nothing so i pulled it again AND… nothing again so i took it inside to take a look at it everything seemed fine the battery was plugged in correctly the safety was set to semi-automatic nothing was blocking the barrel the clip was fully loaded and i know the battery was charged cause it said it ran for 9 hours on a 3 hour charge and i only used it for about a maximum of 40 minutes so if anyone can help me out with this PLEASE DO i mean i did pay $150 for this here’s where i bought it from Amazon.com

admin answers:

I’m not going to say amazon is a bad place to buy things and i’m not gonna blame it breaking on that, but there are better places to buy airsoft guns from. Maybe leaving your battery on for 6 hours over the 3 hour charge killed some of the cells. Try using another batter if you have one or get a new battery and invest in a smart charger as it will save all your batteries. Sinces its not even shooting i would say check your wiring and connections because i doubt you would get a gear jam or something like that in 3 days. Hope i helped.

I really like the JG M4 S-System upgraded 2008 version.

If so, could you please recommend a gun to these qualifications:
380+fps with .2g bb’s
metal rail system
semi/full/safety switch
mostly metal construction
reasonable price…nothing over $210

admin answers:

First of all, the JG M4 S-System is out of stock. :P

Use an airsoft forum to organize everything. If you know the people and you have the land and means to play, its just a matter getting everyone together in the right place at the right time!

How many calories burned in an airsoft war?

How many calories burned in an airsoft war that was about 3 hours 30 minutes. (excluding breaks). I was a runner with a machine gun in a 20 acre woods.
it was 73 degrees out
it was 73 out 155 with gear didnt run much but still ran every about 2 minutes half run. I drank 1 and1/2 of cola and 2 slices of pizza

admin answers:

That would depend on how much you ran, how hard you ran… How much you weighed (gear included), what you ate/ drank, & how long those breaks were.

Joseph asks…

How can I make getting hit in an Airsoft war less painful?

I am joining an Airsoft war tomorrow and I want to find a way to make getting hit less painful. It is like 90 degrees so I can’t wear a coat.
I have played before and I’ve been hit many times close range by a guy with a AK-47. Which hurts like hell.

admin answers:

A long sleeve under armour shirt helps and thin like army pants (army pants are really thin)

How do I get myself in the right mindset for an advanced airsoft war?

Im going to have an airsoft war with some kids around my neighberhood today, and where i just moved from we played airsoft, but we played with like 200 FPS walmart guns, and these kids use HIGH quality stuff, like KWA and 400 FPS fully automatic weapons. to be honest im kinda nervous, how do i get myself to not be so afraid?

admin answers:

First things first, ENJOY YOURSELF, you feel the pain for a bit it goes away after awhile and you laugh at it and you have something for school the next day. Dont worry about just enjoy yourself, and have fun. AND IF YOU ABSOULETELY CAN NOT TAKE THE PAIN, then just wear 2 shirts or 2 pants, problem soved :D , Just remeber to enjoy yourself and play safe!

Tips for the Airsoft Beginner

Boyi M4 M16 Grenade Electric Airsoft Rifle LPEGIf you are new to the game of Airsoft or considering playing for the first time, congratulations! Airsoft is an exciting combat sport that is both physically and mentally challenging. Here are some basic tips to help Airsoft beginners acclimate as they get started in the sport:

Practice safety before shooting. Taking safety precautions is important for Airsoft players at all levels of experience. At minimum, protective eyewear such as goggles or a protective face mask should be worn at all times when playing Airsoft or when playing with Airsoft guns. Wearing a long sleeve shirt during play is typically advised to prevent direct hits on exposed skin. Protective vests, helmets, knee pads and other safety equipment are also available to give you optimal protection during play.

Read and adhere to the guidelines in all documentation that comes with your Airsoft gun. Each Airsoft gun is designed to be used, cleaned and cared for in specific ways. Some mistakes to avoid are using the wrong BBs, charging batteries improperly, loading BBs incorrectly and pumping a spring cocked gun too many times. Failure to comply with manufacturer recommendations can harm your gun and void your warranty.

Don’t wield your Airsoft gun in public areas. Since Airsoft guns are designed to look realistic, carrying one that is visible to others is a bad idea (and illegal). To avoid the threat of physical harm, panic or legal repercussions, be sure to keep your gun put away while you are in public.

Stay down and look around. As you gain some experience playing Airsoft, you will get used to some of the common tactics you can use to protect yourself from enemy fire. Anything you can do to give your opponent a smaller target will work in your favor. Some basic tactics to get started are staying low to the ground as much as possible and peeking around obstacles rather than over them, which will help minimize your exposure to opponents.

Have fun! Airsoft is an exciting sport that is rapidly gaining popularity in the United States. The mental stimulation, physical challenge, camaraderie and adrenaline of the sport keep players of all ages coming back to play again and again.
