First of all, my apology to Danny122… I hit the wrong rating button. His answer is the best. I do airsofting, and like he says, treat your airsoft gun as you would a real firearm and use all safety equipment.
I’m probably a lot older than you and was fortunate to be brought up with guns and hunting. I probably sound like a poster boy for the N.R.A. But the fact of the matter is that you are the future ones to defend our great Constitution, and there may come a time when you may just have to do that. I pray that you don’t.
It may sound corny to you, but I’ve been in real combat and being around guns when I was young made me more comfortable and proficient when using a gun to defend our country.
Yes, I have an airsoft gun (Classic Army M-15 AEG.) and I do participate in a lot of combat games. We win a few and lose a few, but we don’t have any wimp politicians running our wars like they did in Vietnam.

Airsoft Sniper Tips

Paul asks…

How cam i improve my shoting acurracy on my airsoft gun sniper mauser sr? Any tips or exercises to help my aim?

I just got my mauser 96 and im going to put it in nice terms I SUCK. i was playing today and my friend was maybe 20 ft from me and i couldn’t shot him. my scope is not off cause when he shots it he hit me every time. What are some good tips or techniques that could save my shot. Oh by the way im using .2 .20 bbs. and it ant like i had all the time in the world to scope him and shot he was also shooting back. we were in a game.

admin answers:

1.) bring the scope up to you, don’t bring your head to the scope

2.) Make sure you can see everything in the scope.

3.) Take 2 breaths. On the first one, inhale for 2 seconds and exhale for 2 seconds. On the second, inhale for 2 seconds and exhale for about a second. Let most of the air out of your lungs but leave a little in there.

4) squeeze the trigger…DO NOT JERK OR PULL IT! That will cause you to flinch and sending your projectile off target.

TIP: Every shot should come as a surprise.

This should only be done if you have enough time to eliminate your target. If you are playing at only 20ft away, then none of this should really work. You just need to be fast. If your up that close, you should just be able to throw up your gun to your head and look down the scope and PULL/Jerk the trigger. Being at that close of a distance, your breathing techniques shouldn’t really work. Just practice a little more. Practice those snap shots. Hope I helped. Good luck.

Airsoft Guns For Sale Cheap

Mary asks…

Can I fix my airsoft gun?

So I just bought this cheap airsoft gun from sports authority. It was on sale for $30 and I got it just for fun. I don’t care if it’s super accurate, or if the pellets go really far or fast. I just wanted it to WORK. it worked for about a day, and now it just won’t shoot. Like- it’ll make the noise but nothing will come out. Then sometimes when I take out the magazine and cock the gun and pull the trigger, I can get the pellets to come out (they don’t come out very fast though. just shoots ‘em kinda weak). But sometimes they’ll come out two or three at a time.

OH and like let’s say right now I think I have all the pellets outta there. Well if I load 2 or 3 pellets, they will all be out of the magazine after one shot! And I guess they’re getting jammed in there or something, but it didn’t come with a rod thing to unjam it or anything.

I don’t want to go out and spend money on an expensive gun because I just wanted something to screw around with for a month or so. I’m not gonna use it all the time or anything.

How can I get this to work?!

Your locacl army-navy store should be able to help you, I know many will fix airsoft guns.

A Closer Look At The Airsoft Guns

GB AK47 JG AK Tactical Airsoft Rifle AEGThere are many types of games that people play – both for play and to better their skills. One such game is called airsoft which has players using military manner tactics to play a form of hide and tag. The item that is exploited to “tag” the other team’s players is that of airsoft guns. These guns re-create actual guns that are used in many battle situations, they are however of a non-lethal type.

So, we will now get into the airsoft guns in a little bit of detail. Basically, outlining and summing up the things about the gun and the game. For starters we will go into a brief description of the types that are on the market today.
The airsoft guns come in a variety of forms. You can see airsoft guns that look like AK-47s, airsoft pistols like Desert Eagles, Glock airsoft pistols, M16 airsoft rifles, airsoft Uzi machine guns and many others. And when we say they look like these weapons, it would blow your mind on a few of how similar they are in looks. Later we will give you the number one give away as to identifying these from the real deal. In addition to these types of guns you will see Co2 BB shot guns being used, electric style guns and gasoline powered airsoft guns.

Airsoft guns in the beginning were created as an alternative form of recreational bb hunting and formal hunting guns. The people who used these guns enjoyed being able to perfect their skills and abilities without having to worry about the assorted dangers that are prevalent with other types of firearms. This is also not to mention the environment in which you could actually use these alternate forms of guns. Now, lets get into a little bit about the functionality of the airsoft gun.

The airsoft guns use various mechanisms to impel a small measure of air into the firing chamber so that the 6mm plastic pellets that are used as ammunition can be targeted with greater accuracy. Let me just tell you, this short burst of air can be somewhat shocking at first. But, don’t worry you get use to it quickly. Each of these types of guns have been modeled after well known gun brands. This feel of realness to detail makes airsoft gun collecting an interesting spare-time activity for many people. Trust me you can spend a great sum of money on this activity these days too.

The world of airsoft guns and their ammo has spread to many parts of the world but there are a few countries where it is illegal to play or own assorted types of airsoft bb guns. The main point that distinguishes these types of guns from real guns is that the tip of the gun barrel is paint in a vivid orangish color. This color serves as a very important part of the gun.

This colored tip indicates that the replica gun is a toy gun. Hence the removal or over painting of this orangish gun barrel tip is a Federal violation. You can use airsoft guns without needing a permit in many countries yet you should see what the laws are regarding the use of these toy guns. Remember, these guns are for fun and to sharpen your skills.

You can find airsoft guns in many specialty hobby stores as well as online. The shops will only sell their stock of airsoft guns to individuals who are over eighteen, realize and understand what violating the gun laws can mean. When you do purchase an airsoft gun make sure it works according to your liking and understand the stores policy on returns, if for some reason you find a defect with it.

With so many different types of airsoft guns in the market today you can find many that will appeal to your imaginativeness and your skill level. They come in all shapes, sizes and cost. So, do your research and identify what your needs are for this type of gun. And remember, be safe and treat this gun like you would any other gun – with care and safety. Good luck and good tag hunting.

Airsoft Sniper Forum

Donna asks…

AEG or Sniper Rifle? Airsoft?

Hey guys, I’m getting my second airsoft gun. The first one was a crappy spring one. I can’t decide on getting a sniper or aeg. I’ve seen forums and videos and people say that aeg’s are better for beginners. I am a beginner. If i’m getting a sniper, I decided for the UTG MK96 from www.airsoftgi.com. If I got an aeg, I would get the Classic Army M15A4. Please help me decide. Thank you!

Ok. First, I don’t think that this is really a question to be put in the Hunting section. Try Outdoor & Recreation category next time. It should get you more answers. Now I can answer your question:
Just about 5 days ago, my Well MB04 airsoft sniper rifle arrived (I bought it from Airsplat.com). I must say, it is amazing. Now, I am a beginner. I had a fully-automatic airsoft gun, but it just wasn’t doing if for me. I hated being right there next to the person shooting right back at me. So I saved up my money and bought this gun. When I see the posts that say AEG’s are better for beginners than snipers, I can’t help but laugh. I have only been playing airsoft for about a month, and I love sniping! With my Well MB04 (it shoots about 475 fps with .28′s) I can hit a target at 200ft. In a 2 inch grouping. I think that is awesome. I played against my 2 friends and I owned. I had my MB04 and one of my friends had a shotgun, and I let him have my fully-automatic. My other friend does not have an airsoft gun, so he was my spotter. I totally killed my friend with the shotgun. I was so much fun! I looked up the UTG MK96 and saw that it retails around $150. On Airplat.com, you can get the Well MB04 for $155, or the MB05 for $160 (it is the same as the MB04, but with a adjustable butt pad). I definitely think that you should get an airsoft sniper and let my highly recommend the Well MB04. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with a sniper. It was the best $150 bucks I have every spent. Hope I helped…
