Donald asks…

How do you start an airsoft war?

i want to have a good old fashion airsoft war. i have an area, i know alot of people who airsoft, in fact im in a league, but the league is noobish. i want to just have an airsoft war with teams and more tactics than my regular league. how do i organize this airsoft war.

admin answers:

Use an airsoft forum to organize everything. If you know the people and you have the land and means to play, its just a matter getting everyone together in the right place at the right time!

How many calories burned in an airsoft war?

How many calories burned in an airsoft war that was about 3 hours 30 minutes. (excluding breaks). I was a runner with a machine gun in a 20 acre woods.
it was 73 degrees out
it was 73 out 155 with gear didnt run much but still ran every about 2 minutes half run. I drank 1 and1/2 of cola and 2 slices of pizza

admin answers:

That would depend on how much you ran, how hard you ran… How much you weighed (gear included), what you ate/ drank, & how long those breaks were.

How can I make getting hit in an Airsoft war less painful?

I am joining an Airsoft war tomorrow and I want to find a way to make getting hit less painful. It is like 90 degrees so I can’t wear a coat.
I have played before and I’ve been hit many times close range by a guy with a AK-47. Which hurts like hell.

A long sleeve under armour shirt helps and thin like army pants (army pants are really thin)

How do I get myself in the right mindset for an advanced airsoft war?

Im going to have an airsoft war with some kids around my neighberhood today, and where i just moved from we played airsoft, but we played with like 200 FPS walmart guns, and these kids use HIGH quality stuff, like KWA and 400 FPS fully automatic weapons. to be honest im kinda nervous, how do i get myself to not be so afraid?

admin answers:

First things first, ENJOY YOURSELF, you feel the pain for a bit it goes away after awhile and you laugh at it and you have something for school the next day. Dont worry about just enjoy yourself, and have fun. AND IF YOU ABSOULETELY CAN NOT TAKE THE PAIN, then just wear 2 shirts or 2 pants, problem soved :D , Just remeber to enjoy yourself and play safe!

Airsoft Sniper Tactics

Mandy asks…

what are some good airsoft sniper tactics?

I’m the sniper for my team but I’m not very good at it!  Help!

admin answers:

Okay the whole point of being a sniper on an airsoft team is not necessarily to take out selected targets but (depending on the size of the field you play on) to point them out.
If you guys are a small team which I would say is under 5 people there is almost no need for a sniper whatsoever.

If not then first you definitely need a scope to spot and if you correctly sight it in score a kill.
Now if you do actually plan on taking an active role in kills I mentioned that you need to sight in your scope. To do this simply spend the time outside with i would say a target about 75-100 feet away (maybe less depending on your normal field size) and fire at it until you can hit it within 1 foot. Adjust your hop-up as need and move your scope around until it hits where you point the scope.

Donna asks…

Airsoft tactics help!?

I am a intermediate sniper and I am starting an airsoft team. I am going to be the commander for this team so I really need some help with tactics, especially since snipers are usually not commanders! Please help.

admin answers:

Actually, it is not that bad because since you are based in the Rear of the Team (as scout & sniper) you will have a huge FOV (field of View). A Commander has to know where the troops are and communication must be flawless.

However, I do not recommend you to start the shooting (since you have a greater range) because you ARE the commander. Refuse using your weapon unless your squads have engaged targets. Then become auxiliary force instead of main force.

When approaching a target at a corner, always send at least one man with and AEG (you might want to pick the guy with the weakest one), to go right up to the corner, but not round it. Then either send someone over around the end of the obstacle from the other side to flank your target, or have somebody behind you ready as backup in case the guys in front get compromised. Then, send two men around the corner at a considerably wide distance, with more powerful guns. As they go around, simultaneously send the man right up on the corner in, and multiply take out your target.

If you’re engaging just one member of the enemy team, and you have all of your team members with you, then ALWAYS have one man in the back to keep cover and look out for other enemies, and spot you out in the front also in case more enemies show up unexpectedly. As for the three remaining members in your 4-man team, slowly approach the target until you’re all in range for taking out the enemy. Then, signal or something to make sure all of your guys are ready. Shoot the target simultaneously for the best effect, because now there is 3 times more of a chance to hit your target, and also, it has a mental effect on the enemy. No one wants to go out if they think that they’re going to be ambushed by multiple members at the same time. Same tactic used by Marine Corps Scout Snipers.

Basic tip— if you’re behind an obstacle and an enemy is firing on you or is approaching always look out the side of the object, not the top.

Another basic tip— if you have two men going up against someone or somebody, always have someone give covering fire, which makes the enemy go under cover, while another member moves or advances to another position. This makes the enemy unaware of where your other teammate(s) is, because they were under cover while you were firing on them.

If you’re moving about or getting to different positions on the battlefield and you don’t know where the enemy is, always keep spread out.

Good luck on the field.
