On this page, we’ll try to share the legal implications involved with owning and using an Airsoft weapon. The two most important laws pertaining to Airsoft in the United States that you should know up front are:
- Federal Law prohibits anyone under the age of 18 to purchase an Airsoft gun (of any kind) without parental consent.
- All Airsoft weapons are required to have a red tipped barrel to differentiate an Airsoft replica from a real firearm. Weapons purchased and used in other countries do not have this requirement.
